My very active rat terrior loves to run and play ball-she would probably run 16 hours of the day if she could. Now she is pregnant and i wonder if she should be running as much as she did before. she is beginning to get wider and her belly is now beginning to sag a little, but this really doesn't stop her from running all over the house and outside and of course play ball. My fear is that if I prevent her from playing ball, that she will be unhappy.I have a pregnant rat terrior should she be running as she did before boys came in her life?
as long as she aint jumping buildings they need to exercise. cjhsI have a pregnant rat terrior should she be running as she did before boys came in her life?
It is perfectly healthy for her to remain active. This will help her when it comes time to give birth. I would just let her go on as usual.
You might want to pay close attention after she gives birth to make sure she is willing to sit still with the puppies. If she has that much energy and is so playful, she might decide she doesn't want to sit still with her puppies for very long.
