How can i make my mom let me have a pet rat?

I really want a pet rat, but my mom thinks that they are gross and dirty animals, how can i make her let me get one?How can i make my mom let me have a pet rat?
Do some research, show them some websites or maybe even some books that talk about pet rats...

They are actually rather clean animals, out of all small pets, they are the cleanest, least smelly and smartest. They can be taught many tricks including using a potty, which helps keep them even cleaner...

Here are a few sites that might help you out some...

Talk to her about it, try to take her to a shop or breeder where you can hold some and interact with them...that's about all you can do...

Hope this helps...GOOD LUCK!!!How can i make my mom let me have a pet rat?
i agree with her about not getting one. not because they are dirty or gross, they are actually quite clean. they just give me the creeps!! try to get her to agree to a guinea pig. they are tons of fun too. and people don't seem to be as afraid of them. but if you are set on the rat, do lots of research on them to let her know they are VERY clean and also pretty darn smart!!
you should show her that you can be responsible to take care of the rat, and clean it's cage.
Rats are actually very sweet animals. My friends had some rats, and they were very clean, and nice little things. Tell her you will clean the cage, feed it, and do all the other necessary chores for keeping a rat.
What has always worked for me to convince my parents in the past is showing them plenty of research! It gives them all the facts about the pet you want, and it also shows that you really, really want this pet. There is tooons of information on pet rats on the internet that you could find.

As for your parents thinking they're dirty, my rats are surprisingly tidy! My rats clean themselves all the time, and they even use the bathroom in the same corner of their cage. Some rats can even be trained to use a little litter box. My rats didn't like the litter box, but they do go to the bathroom in the same corner, so I'm okay with that. They are potty trained so that they will not use the bathroom outside of their cage though, which is nice.

So do some research; the information may just sway your parents' opinions, and it'll show them that you're motivated and determined :)
just get 1 with ot asking

id do it
Rats are actually very clean ,but there is no way your mom will believe you unless she sees it so quite asking you aint gettin one. tuff luck dude srry
