Rats and Chocolate Chips?

I read on a rat breeders website that if your rat is sneezing, it is safe to give him one chocolate chip. I wasn't really sure if this was a good idea, because I'm very careful with what my rats eat, and I'd hate to do anything to cause them harm.

Basicly I'm asking if anyone has heard of this or has done it before? What were the results?Rats and Chocolate Chips?
A small piece of dark chocolate helps with respiratory problems, yes.

My rats have very small chocolate chips every once in a blue moon, and they're all happy %26amp; healthy. It's all about quantity control. You do not want to give them too much, but just a SMALL (the smallest you can find) choc. chip on occasion, is acceptable.Rats and Chocolate Chips?
The only time you should EVER give a rat chocolate is if they are having respitory issues. Something in chocolate can help open the lungs in the rat so they can breathe easier.

Then you only give 1 small baking chip for this.
Yes. I some cases it does help them help fight off respiratory infections in it's earliest stage. WHAT EVER YOU DO, no matter how cute they are or how much they talk to you, only give them each one chip every month or so.
i would take him to the vet and give him meds so she could stop and DONT give him chocolite or he might not feel good at all ): but if you just give him meds he will be fine(:
ummm i know choco is dangerous to dogs but i havnt heard about dogs sorry
i heard it was dangerous but i might be wrong
