I'm sick of him. He only comes at night its like he's chewing thru something to try to get in the house. He has gotten in the house before but since we've called Critter Control he's hasn't been in the house but I still hear him chewing outside. Whats a sure fire way to get rid of him for good? Maybe i can keep an outside cat? Occasionally raccoons come around so would an outside cat be safe from the coon? Please help me with this. Im sick of this problem. I'll try anything......How do i kill a rat in my backyard?
Get a dog, preferably a good-sized terrier of some kind. Raccoons can kill cats, and a large rat or several gathered in one place can injure a cat severely.
By the way, if you see or hear one, there are probably a bunch of his cousins also waiting to come visit you.How do i kill a rat in my backyard?
buy a cat! feed it only dead rats, then when your comes around he will know its dinner time
The cat will probably catch it. Is your cat declawed? That might present a problem. Maybe you should just set up a mouse trap. One of the human ones that is.
Get a dog
Put out poision that only kills rats, but try to put it where other animals can't get it, because it might make them sick.
these are my solutions 1) get a gun licence and buy a shot gun 2) get an exterminator to do the job 3)get a cat or something that eats rats 4) set up traps 5) put something he likes to eat and cover it in some kind of poison 6)use your skill with a knife
7)put a bottle on the edge of a table put food at the bottom of the bottle tip the bottle sideways bellow the table put a bucket of water or something deep so when the rat goes in the bottle the bottle will loose its balance and fall down in the water leaving the rat to DROWN (make sure the rat can't get out . please gimme best answer
hmm...get a mousetrap and put cheese in it.
use a shotgun shogun ?
make a trap for him, put some food on the mousetrap! or get a nocturnal cat lol :)
squirrel trap then drown in 5 gal pale use peanut butter as bait i have cot over 100 this way
Buy, borrow, rent or steal a rat trap...you can get the plain old 'snap' variety or the cage ones, bait it with something tasty and voila!...hopefully. It's not a good idea to put poison down or some other poor animal could get hurt. Good luck!, and yes, a racoon could hurt a cat so don't try that.
