I have 3 rats. Every time I touch them I break out in red itchy bumps on my arms. So i'm guessing that they are hives and that i'm allergic to the rats? I don't want to stop handling the but it's getting really irritating. Does anyone have any suggestions?Allergic to my rats?

I too am allergic to rats. mostly the urine. and since rats and mice don't have any bladder control they constantly leave a trail of urine behind them wherever they go. There are allergy creams you can buy made by benadryl that work for me. maybe washing your hands as soon as you're done playing with them would help?
